Leftover bread crusts can be hard to love, we know. But they can get a new and better life if you turn them into crunchy bread crumbs! Always good to have at home in the pantry when, for example, you need to bread the cake pan or make juicy gluten-free meatballs. Also good for breading fish.
20 minutes
Thaw the bread crusts at room temperature if you have them in the freezer. Set the oven to 175°. Break the bread into smaller pieces, put into a blender and run until it becomes a little more finely grained.
Distribute the bread crumbs on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Place in the oven for about 10-12 minutes and stir the crumbs halfway through. Keep an eye on them the last few minutes so that the crumbs don't start to burn.
Let the bread crumbs cool thoroughly before putting them in jars with lids. Store dry, cool and dark.
