How to thaw gluten-free products
Store Fria’s gluten-free products in the gluten-free freezer. That way, they keep longer and retain their great taste and texture. For best results when thawing, you can follow these simple thawing tips. If you have any questions about our gluten-free products, you are of course welcome to contact our customer service.

Gluten-free bread

Room temperature (recommended): whole loaf in its packaging for at least 5 hours; individual slices about 30 minutes.
Toast the slices in a regular toaster.
Crisp-warm slices in the oven at 200°C for about 2 minutes.
Microwave: 2 slices for 30 seconds on low power (max 750W). This may vary between microwave ovens, so experiment. Note that bread thawed in a microwave or toaster should be eaten immediately.

Gluten-free rolls and baguettes
Room temperature (recommended): in their packaging for 1–3 hours; individual rolls on a plate or in a new bag for about 50 minutes.
Toast the bread in a toaster if it fits, e.g., Thekaka.
Crisp-warm individual rolls in the oven at 150°C for about 5 minutes, or on top of a toaster for about 10 minutes.
Microwave: thaw one roll on low power (max 750W) for 1–3 minutes depending on thickness. This may vary between microwave ovens—experiment to find what works best.


Gluten-free buns and pastries
Room temperature (recommended): in their packaging for 1–3 hours; individual buns and muffins in a new bag for about 50 minutes.
Crisp-warm individual buns in the oven at 150°C for about 5 minutes, or on top of a toaster for about 10 minutes.
The sticky chocolate cake (kladdkaka) can be sliced while frozen if you don’t want to take out and thaw the whole cake. It thaws quickly at room temperature—allow up to about half an hour.
Microwave: muffins, buns, and mini rolls (gifflar) can be thawed/warmed in the microwave on low power (max 750W) for 1–3 minutes. Should be eaten immediately.
Gluten-free gingerbread dough
Thaw in the refrigerator for about 5–8 hours.
